  • What is a Zibonga Gift Registry?

    Zibonga is a unique platform that makes gifting during special occasions fun and rewarding for both hosts / recipients and well-wishers.Hosts / recipients create a Zibonga Gift Registry and select gift partners from our wide range of affiliates. They post their requests / wishlist in values, and not as items, against the selected partners. Well-wishers can now meaningfully contribute towards the wishlist, regardless of their budget, as every contribution goes towards fulfilling a value requested!Zibonga can be used for any occasion - weddings, birthdays, housewarmings, baby showers, anniversaries and more.

  • How does Zibonga work?
    • Once hosts / recipients create their Zibonga Gift Registry ahead of a special occasion, they share the same with their well-wishers.
    • Well-wishers then visit the website, and make their contributions directly.
    • Once the occasion has passed, recipients redeem the contributions for gift vouchers from the gift partners they have selected from our network.
    • They can also opt to transfer the entire amount as a Cash Fund which is then transferred to their bank account.

Creating The Registry
  • How do I create a Zibonga Gift Registry?
    • You need to first create a Zibonga Account.
    • Once account verification is completed, you will have an option to create your very own Zibonga Registry.
    • The creation process is broken down to three steps.
    • Step 1 is where you will be setting up the event details such as event type, date, venue etc.
    • Step 2 allows you to further personalise the event with a background image of your choice along with profiles image(s). You also have an option to add a personalised message / greeting to your guests, introducing them to your registry.
    • You can also choose between two possible views for your guestbook.
    • Step 3 is your wishlist creation centre, where you can either choose from our wide array of channel partners or create a custom cash fund. The maximum limits are only restricted by the depths of your guests’ pockets *wink*.
    • You can then preview your registry before hitting publish.
    • Your registry can be edited at any time before the event, from your dashboard, but please keep in mind that the event date cannot be changed. Please contact us at contactus@zibonga.com if you need to change the event date.
  • Do you charge any fees for opening a Zibonga Gift Registry?

    There are absolutely no charges to open, activate and maintain a Zibonga Gift Registry. Any charges incurred by Zibonga, such as courier charges if any, bank charges and the like are deductible from the fund.

Gift Partners
  • How do I select gift partner(s) for my registry?

    We offer a wide selection of shopping portals and stores.

    • Take a look and decide on your favourites depending on your needs and requirements.
    • Newlyweds moving into a new home may want to consider gift partners offering home needs, furniture and the likes.
    • You may want to choose a travel and holiday gift partner for their dream honeymoon.
    • Or you may want to create a Cash Fund for an investment or other purchases.
  • How many gift partners can I select?

    You can choose one or as many gift partners as you like. There is no limit to the number of gift partners you can add to your registry.

    However, you may want to focus on one, two or three at most to ensure that you have larger funds available per gift partner to make substantial purchases.

  • Can I change my selection of gift partners after publishing the gift registry?

    Certainly! You can edit almost everything about your registry – from layout customisation options to reallocating contributions to redeeming for cash instead of gift items. The reallocation is immediate!

    Only the date of your event remains fixed upon publication. In case you need to change the date, kindly contact us at contactus@zibonga.com

Cash Fund
  • How do I set up a cash fund registry?

    When you are creating your registry, you will see a Cash Fund option. Select the same. Give your Cash Fund a name and set the required amount.

  • How do I ask graciously for cash contributions from my well-wishers?

    Without a doubt, the most popular gift for major occasions, especially weddings, is cash. There is no need to feel awkward: your guests would likely prefer to maintain the tradition too.

    Monetary gifting offers simplicity and flexibility – and Zibonga provides you with an eloquent way to request the same.

Managing The Registry
  • How do I manage my registry?

    You have complete control over your registry through your dashboard. Editing your registry, monitoring activity and even reallocation and redemption can be done via your dashboard.

  • How do I know if a contribution has been made to my registry?

    We will send you e-mail notifications as and when contributions are made. You can also view the complete donor list on your dashboard. Once your desired wishlist amount has been reached, it will be flagged as “fulfilled” on your registry. However, this does not stop the contribution received from exceeding the requested limit.

Sharing The Registry
  • How can I share my gift registry with my friends and family?

    Share the URL generated during registry creation on social media and via e-mail, and don’t forget to include a note about it in your event invitation card! Your guests can also find your registry by using the Find A Registry option in our website.

  • How do I know if guests can view my registry?

    Your registry will be visible the moment you hit “Publish”. You can always check by searching for your registry on our website.

  • What if some of my guests aren't computer-friendly?

    We understand that not all your well-wishers will be tech-savvy, which is why Zibonga offers such a simple and intuitive process. Additionally, they can reach us over e-mail, and we will be happy to assist them. Have them contact us at contactus@zibonga.com.

  • Can I make my registry completely private, so only my guests can view it?

    If your registry is published, it is searchable on Zibonga. You can hide your registry, but that will mean even your guests will be unable to view it. So we advise against it.

  • How long can I keep my gift registry open for contributions?

    Your gift registry on Zibonga will be open for contributions until the date of the event closure specified by you. NOTE: While this closing date can be changed, we recommend that a duration of at least 10 days between your new closing date and current date to allow your guests sufficient time to make their valuable contributions. Please contact us at contactus@zibonga.com in case you need assistance.

Vouchers & Redemptions
  • How long can I keep my gift funds received with Zibonga before redeeming the same?

    You are advised to keep the funds received for no more than six months from the date of closure of the gift registry.

  • How and when will I receive my gifts?
    • You can redeem the value of your gift registry, either in cash or through our gift partners, once the event date has passed.
    • Just go to your dashboard and request to have your gift vouchers delivered.
    • You have up to six months after the event date to complete your redemptions.
    • In the event of a Cash Fund, when you are ready to receive the funds into your account after the event, simply enter your banking information into the fields provided at the time of redemption.
  • Are there any restrictions on the gift vouchers?

    Each of the gift partners have limits set by them for both the minimum and maximum voucher values. They also have other terms and conditions, which we advise that you read before selecting a gift partner and before redeeming the gift vouchers as well.

  • How long will it take for me to receive my cash funds?
    • It will take between 5 to 7 working days. Please keep this in mind, and request for your funds in advance of when you will need them.
    • A 5% transaction and admin charge will be deducted from the amount to be transferred.
  • What happens if the contributions have fallen short of the desired amounts?

    Even if the registry isn't 100% fulfilled, you will still receive the amount that has been gifted to you! You also have the freedom to reallocate the amounts to another gift partner(s), or totally new ones from your current selection.

Gift Cards & Thank You Cards
  • Can I buy gift cards or vouchers on Zibonga without having a registry?

    Of course, through our Gift-A-Voucher option! You can add gift vouchers from our gift partners to your cart directly, instead creating a registry, and checkout as a guest.

  • What about thank you notes?

    Zibonga offers you the option of sending out thank you e-cards to your well-wishers. Additionally, your dashboard logs all of your well-wishers’ contact information, helping you keep track of your guests and their contributions.

Contributing To A Gift Registry
  • How do I find a registry?
    • Click on the "Find A Registry” button on the homepage, and enter the name of the friend(s) whose event you’re attending.
    • Did your friend send you a direct link to their Zibonga Gift Registry? Awesome! Just copy and paste that into your browser's address bar.
    • If you're still having trouble tracking it down, don't fret! Just send us an e-mail at contactus@zibonga.com - we'll point you in the right direction.
  • If I contribute to a gift registry, will my friend know?

    Absolutely! If you opt to contribute to a gift registry, your friend will receive an e-mail containing your individual contribution amount and the greeting you've penned.

  • Can I include a personal message or card with my gift contribution?

    Definitely! We encourage you to share with your friend why you chose your gift for him/her. During checkout, we give you the option to include a personal message for your friend to read on his/her guestbook.

Security
  • Is my personal information safe?

    Yes, completely safe. Your contact information is confidential, and Zibonga will never share it with a third party.

  • Is my credit card information secure?

    Yes, your credit card information is completely safe. Zibonga does not store your credit card data. All payments are secured by 256 bit encryption.

Greeting Cards
  • Will I get physical greeting cards to present at the event?

    We have a wide selection of designer cards from which you can choose. They are priced at Rs.150 each, inclusive of shipping, and will be delivered to your doorstep. Please make sure that you order them at least 7 working days before the event.

Charges & Fees
  • Do you offer free shipping?

    The cost of the physical card ordered on Zibonga’s website includes shipping and taxes.

  • Do you have any charges or fees?

    The Zibonga Gift Registry is a completely FREE service. However, external charges such as courier charges, bank charges and for physical cards are chargeable.
